Gig on the Green

I got up on a stage yesterday and played a few numbers at the ‘Gig on the Green’ charity event in Hall’s Green, accompanied by a friend who had his first lesson at being a roadie for the day!

This small regular festival is held over the holiday period, in the beer garden of a fairly remote public house and hosted many fabulous bands and players over the weekend.

Hall’s Green is a small hamlet in Hertfordshire, just a few miles north-east of the new town of Stevenage and this event draws support from a wide locality.

We all had a great time.

I had a half an hour slot in the middle of the evening between 7.20pm and 7.50pm and I performed three traditional blues tracks (that I rocked up a little) and one original and was happily received by the audience on a warm, mostly sunny day.

I also had the pleasure of meeting some old friends who had specifically travelled to attended and offer their support.
