So Far From Home

‘Said she was leaving and I’m never going to stop her

Spinning and whirling in her fancy helicopter

We cut this picture out of history

The message in her phones is still a mystery

And as I wave goodbye

and free fall into this misty sky

I know that we are not alone

So far from home

Patience for virtue in kaleidoscopic love

A toffee token, falling from above

Onto a plastic button in a rainbow haze

Standing in the centre of someone else’s maze

And now this honey’s back for more

She laughs and jokes and I know the score

Heat and warmth as I kindle the night fire

The impassioned flames of our desire
