Supermarket whizz-kid, fast around the aisles,
Dealing with the queues and showing off in style.
Searching for peanuts in among the tins.
Fastest around with a trolley usually wins!
Then I meet sweet Miss Lego girl,
Pretty blonde hair and an ear pierced with a pearl.
She looks up with a price gun and a smile,
So I stop and enjoy some conversation for a while.
Back to the nuts and she ‘doesn’t really know’,
She answers with a hint of innuendo.
‘Perhaps they are near the soups’, although I could be on the moon.
My stomach rumbles – tea time will be soon.
I wander through the illuminated maze, my brain spins in a whirl,
I reach a shelf of nuts, so pleased that I met Miss Lego girl.
